What is Diamond Painting?
Diamond painting is a creative hobby combining paint by number and cross stitch with the art of gluing rhinestones to a textile canvas to make a three-dimensional picture. A textile with an adhesive color-coded canvas painting and using an applicator to apply sparkling rhinestones one-by-one to the canvas gives you a sparkling, vivid, and shimmering work of art. A finished diamond painting kit can be framed and hung in the office, a gift to your loved ones, or showcase on the wall of your house.
Stress away
Aside from doing diamond painting as a fun, engaging, and beautiful craft to hang in my living room, it gives me mental health benefits. It reduces my anxiety and stress during my life’s struggling stage from being a full-time career woman juggling being a single parent in the meantime, battling financial problems, and supporting a husband inside a rehabilitation center. During my confusing times and chaotic mind overpowering my sanity, I grab my diamond painting kit. I create my quiet and peaceful environment where it takes away my sadness and worries, and reduces my stress.
The Pandemic
During the first three months of hard lockdown due to Covid-19, I can sit for an hour or two, sometimes a whole day, to finish my kit. Also, this time that I consider resigning from my work and pursuing my work from home jobs.
A Dream came true.
During those times, working from home and became a full-time mom always pops up in my mind. Thus, this is where I am today. I firmly believe in positive thinking, dreams where we are today as a happy family—trained to be a Filipino virtual assistant and a full-time mom with enough time for the family that can provide financially. Starting little by little, all that I envision is the best therapy mentally and emotionally. I am happy to become a part of the FVA family, which will help me attain a full-time business support specialist, a social media support specialist, and a bookkeeper.
After all, diamond painting helps me calm my mind and, during those calming times, helps me prepare and envision my dreams, thus serves me as my therapy. A dream to be a freelancer that will offer general virtual assistant, social media manager and marketing, a search engine optimization analyst and a bookkeeper with the a vision to give effective and efficient services worldwide to business owners and entrepreneur. But the best and essential of all is to seek God’s guide and lift all of our worries to Him, the One who will never leave our side.
